Dr .Khaleel Chovva presided as the Chief Guest and enlightened the students on the importance of safeguarding nature. Many saplings were planted in the campus by both students and teachers.
The Kannur Kendra of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan was inaugurated by Mr. Justice V.S. Malimath, former Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court, in 1986.
