A Capacity Building Programme on NEP-2020 was conducted by CBSE in the school today . Mrs. Rasika Bharathan ,Former Principal of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kannur and Mrs. Mridhula M R, Vice Principal of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Kannur and recipient of Best Teacher Award were the eminent resource persons who conducted the Workshop on Capacity Building. Various aspects of NEP were explained in the workshop which also proved to be a very lively and interactive one.

The school celebrated 74th Republic Day of our nation with great patriotic fervor . The tricolour was hoisted by the Vice Principal Mrs .Premaja OB. The Flag hoisting was followed by the rendition of Patriotic songs by the School Choir. Speeches highlighting the achievements of our nation were delivered by the students. A documentary by the Malayalam Department highlighting the importance of moral values was screened in the School Library.

Hanza Fathima of Class IX bags the First Prize and Samyuktha J of Class XI secured the Fifth Prize in the Painting Competition conducted by Kendriya Vidyalaya,Kannur in connection with Pariksha Pe Charcha based on Mantras given in Exam Warriors by our Honorable Prime Minister.

𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝘼𝙡𝙪𝙢𝙣𝙞 𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩 - 𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙣 2022 - 𝘿𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙚.......

The first ever Alumni Meet of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Kannur Kendra was organised in the school campus on 27 December 2022. Students from different Batches attended the meet . It was indeed a nostalgic walk down the memory lane both for students as well as the teachers. Around 100 students attended the meeting .

Christmas Celebration

The school celebrated Christmas in a real 'Chrismassy' way. The Christmas Tree was put up with decorations and other adornments. Then there was Santa Claus with sweets for the students. Santa Claus was accompanied by a group of students singing Christmas Carols. The Principal Mrs. Geethanjali Sunil and Vice Principal Mrs. Premaja O B wished the children a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Every year 22 December is observed as National Mathematics Day to mark the birth anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanujan, a legendary Indian Mathematician. Ramanujan Day was celebrated in the School on Thursday, 22 December 2022.

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kannur, celebrated the 37th Annual Day at the Munshi Nagar Campus ,Kakkad on 17th December 2022. Sri . K.V Sumesh , MLA ( Azhikode Constituency) was the Chief Guest and Smt. Koulath P and Smt. Sunisha C , Councillors ,Kannur Municipal Corporation were the Guests of Honour on the occasion. The Honorary Secretary of the Kendra ,Sri P Naveen Lakshmanan delivered the Welcome address and the Presidential address was delivered by the Honorable Chairman of the Kendra Sri. P Sudhakaran . The Annual Report was presented by the Principal ,Smt. Geethanjali Sunil. After the inaugural ceremony ,there was variety entertainment by the students of the institution.

Our School has established the School Innovation Council as per the guidelines of Innovative cell, Ministry of Education, Govt.of India for the academic year 2022- 23. The school received the Certificate of Establishment today (25/10/2022) from Dr. Abhay Jere , Chief Innovation Officer, Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell.

Celebrating Science --- Bhavan Science Exhibition

A Science Exhibition was conducted at school on 7 November which ignited the flame of curiosity in children. Various Science Departments of the school had put up interesting exhibits as well live experiments which proved to be very inspiring for the young minds.

Annual Sports Meet

The Annual Sports Meet was held at Mangattuparamba University Campus on 10th October 2022 . The Sports Meet was inaugurated by Professor Dr. Anil Ramachandran , the Head of School of Physical Education and Sports Science and Kannur University Research Director.The Principal Mrs. Geethanjali Sunil delivered the welcome address. The Sports Captain Dhruv Jithesh took the Oath after the meet was inaugurated.

Gandhi Jayanti Celebration

The students took up the mission of cleaning school campus as a part of Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations. There were inspiring speeches delivered in the morning assembly about the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. Tiny Tots also celebrated Gandhi Jayanti by dressing up as the Mahatma.

FELICITATION CEREMONY

A grand Felicitation Ceremony was organised today in the campus to honour our Star Achievers Master Vishnu Shaji and Miss Aiswarya Susheel for qualifying both KEAM 2022 and JEE Advanced in their very first attempt.The Distinguished Guest of the day ,Shri E.Ramankutty Warier felicitated the young achievers with trophies.

The toppers of SSE / SSCE were felicitated for their glorious achievement in a glittering “ La Gloria” felicitation ceremony conducted at the school on 10 August 2022. Investiture Ceremony

The first mega event of the present academic year 2022-23, the Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2022-23 was held on 30 June 2022 in the auditorium of the school at 1.30 p.m . The School Head Boy Sharan Chandran and School Head Girl Sreenanda Dilip ,the four House Captains of Akash, Prithvi ,Agni and Trishul respectively and the other council members were administered the oath by our beloved Principal Mrs. Geethanjali Sunil and Vice Principal Mrs. Premaja O.B adorned badges and Sashes on the members of the school council. The School Cabinet will officially started functioning from Monday ,4 July onwards .

International Day against Drug Abuse

On the occasion of International Day against Drug Abuse ,Sri Rajeevan .M , Preventive Officer , Excise range Office ,Payyanur conducted an awareness session for the students of classes XI and XII which proved to be an eye opener for the teens.

Miss Sheeba Santhosh - Our Pride.

Our Physical Education teacher Miss Sheeba Santhosh brought laurels not only to our school but to the entire state when she bagged 4 gold and a silver medal in the National Masters Athletic meet held in Varanasi in the above 40 category. She won gold in the coveted 100 m ,200 m, 4x100 m and 4x400 m relay. She won the silver medal in 400 m.

Offline Term1 model exams for classes XII and Term1 exams for class XI are going on.

And the following competitions were held in connection with the celebrations for different categories.

Offline classes started on November 1st for classes X and XII.
